Welcome to the web site of St. Mark's Lutheran Church (ELCA) in Claremont, North Carolina.  Feel free to learn about who we are by clicking on the various links.  For the purpose of privacy, however, only members may access the weekly newsletter and pictorial directory.

You will find that in 2007 we celebrated 120 years of ministry; and in December 2008 we welcome our
11th senior pastor, the Reverend Dr. Gary S. Haddock.  Pastor Haddock is assisted by our Associate for Pastoral Care, the Reverend Dr. William K. Hollar, Jr., who serves as visitation pastor.  Our 10:30 a.m. traditional Sunday worship is broadcast live on WNNC radio (1230 on the AM dial).  A contemporary service with Holy Communion begins at 8:00 a.m. each Sunday.

To find directions to St. Mark's you may access
Mapquest with the words "St Marks Lutheran Church, 28610"  because Mapquest does not recognize our street address.  You may also access maps.yahoo.com to find directions.  From Interstate 40
exit # 135 we are easy to find.  Pass the restaurant, turn left at the light (Hardee's) and we are the second church, about two blocks on your left.  Come visit -- any time !!
